HEARTH - Hamilton, NZ

I have already mentionned Lovegrove lane here and there... Hearth is another one of the cool spaces that has taken over the lane. This juice bar and grocer focuses onorganic, seasonal and local products. Katie created the space as a continuity to the lifestyle practices encouraged at her yoga studio next door.

The shelves are filled with local produce, honey, eggs, bread, vegetables, even olive oil. The seasonal fruits and vegetables on offer are also used for juices, smoothies and salads that are freshly made every day. The secret is out, lunchtime now sees all the locals and workers in the area coming down to Hearth for their food fix.

Lovegrove Lane launch

This Saturday in Hamilton saw the official launch of Lovegrove Lane in Hamilton East. I had already shared about this area when I gave you a tour of The Flower Crate a while back. Since, the lane has welcomed many more inspiring businesses making it one of Hamilton's most happening little hub.

A huge crowd gathered and celebrated what our lovely town had been craving for for so long, a spot with identity and a cool vibe. Long live the lane!

Live music by local bands was playing all afternoon, the best food trucks were all there and our favourite Duck Island Ice Cream even had a table with a couple of flavours. Tables, chairs and sofas were handily placed for everyone to sit and enjoy the atmosphere, felt pens and crayons were placed at every table for children and children at heart to doodle away on the brown paper covered surfaces.

It was so nice to see a community come together, everyone was happy and cheerful. I have said it times and times again but I am really proud of the people in my city, putting themselves out there, creating something vibrant and unique, and nurturing a sense of belonging, culture and togetherness through their businesses.

Of course I had to snap a couple of images from Grey Gardens, a favourite of ours, I had already shared about this place on Instagram.
There were so many people I could not take pictures of everything and every shop but The Framing House has now joined the Lovegrove Lane family. They offer custom framing solutions along with some handcrafted goods, George Sand Studio being one of them, a very clever lady whom I love to follow on Instagram and creates the most divine ceramics pieces.

So there, Lovegrove Lane everyone, come down and enjoy the buzz!
